Batman & Robin: Batman Vs. Robin
The new Batman, Dick Grayson, may have found a lazarus pit to revive the corpse of Bruce Wayne. He travels to England while Damian Wayne, the new Robin, has been given a new spine and is mind controlled physically by his mother, demon princess Talia Al Ghul.
This isn't anywhere near as good as the previous volume, but it succeeds in keeping you entertained and intrigued, especially with new character Oberon Sexton. Sexton is a crime solving author, who Damian suspects is actually father Bruce Wayne. But his real identity is profound than it is shocking, though surprisingly and misleadingly obvious. It does keep you hanging for more.
While the stakes may not be as high, nor is there as much happening, it is still entertaining even though it seems more like a set up for the big finally in volume 3 to conclude the major Black Glove story arc. The most disappointing aspect though, is that artist Frank Quitley doesn't draw the entire epic, and only does the first half of the previous volume, resorting to covers now only.
RATING:
Batman Story - 10/10
Continuity - 10/10
Art - 6/10
Coolness - 6/10
OVERALL - 8/10
